A stunningly poor idea ... a great way to squander the good will you established with the voting public when the list was created ... If this is done, at least require that there be an EASY way to opt out of this junk phone mail (press * during the playback or some such) - or even better set up a "do not under any circumstances call" list. The only other option is to figgure out a way to register with you that I choose to sever any existing business relationship with anyone who proposes to call under the proposed rule ... or limit the calls to health and safety related issues, such as product recalls, and not more telemarketing during the dinner hour. You would think that the telemarketing industry would figure out that it makes absolutely no sense to call folks who will just get p***ed at being called, and have gone to the trouble to register that fact! FWIW I'm already receiving such phone spam from Verizon!
