We find that pre-recorded messages are every bit as intrusive as live messages. Prior to the Do Not Call registry our answering machine took more messages from those seeking to sell than we received from the family and friends for whom the machine was installed. We have just finished a political season during which our ears and answering machine was bombarded with candidates' voices on a daily basis. The idea that this could become a part of our daily life year round is a dismal prospect. No opening of the loophole allowing pre-recorded message telemarketing!!!
