Comments:
After experiencing comparatively and newly found peace and quiet of home-life after placing ourselves on the FTC's "do not call" list, we have just gone through several months of increasingly frequent and lengthly recorded political messages. We don't care if it's the person, party or issue we support or oppose, or the company with whom we are doing business with, I do not want unsolicited telephone calls whether from a person or recording machine. We do look at offers sent in the mail and have on occasion used them. We see ads on television. We can look on the internet. What we do not want, or need, is telephone calls. Prior to the "do not call" option, we stopped answering the phone, turned off the ringers andd screened all calls by voice message. Whether it's coming home from work, staying at home sick, running in from the garden, or simply interrupting dinner, the telephone calls from soliciters are unwelcome and equally so whether from strangers or businesses we have some kind of "business relationship" with. Please DO NOT approve any additional abandonments of the safe harbor that already has enough exceptions. Don and Christine Eppley
