|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I oppose the law that allows telemarketers to use pre-recorded solicitations. I am registered on the DO NOT CALL list and I still get calls including pre-recorded calls. The pre-recored calls are equally annoying. I agree that there should be opt-in agreement rather than opt-out. Opt-in allows the consumer to control the calls. Let the telemarketers send out the information for opting-in and see what kind of response they get. The more changes that are made to the DO NOT CALL program, the easier it will be for the telemarketers to continue soliciting.
