|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I feel strongly that no concessions should be given to the telecommunications industry, regarding recorded or live messages. These calls are an intrusion on our privacy. Elderly persons do not need their afternoon naps or their meals disrupted by a salesperson. I cannot understand why you are even considering changing the ban, as it met with the wholehearted approval of the majority. A stong lobby from the telemarketers should not be a factor in your decisions.
