Please send this to the attention of Allen Hile of the FTC's Division of Marketing Practices. The FTC is considering opening a big loophole in the do not call registry. The proposal is to allow pre-recorded message telemarketing, which is the very worst kind of telemarketing - the kind that you goes on your voicemail or answering machine if you don't intercept it and cut it off. This will be an opt out plan rather than an opt-in plan. Apparently this is intended to bring FTC rules in line with FCC rules which permit this. It is the FCC rules that should be brought in line with FTC rules. Please do not allow this type of loophole in telemarketing regulations. Please bring the FCC regulations in line with the FTC rules. Thank you.
