If any company thinks that pre-recorded unwanted sales calls is going to generate more business they have another thing coming. Unwanted telemarketing calls with a human was bad enough, but now these companies (lobbyists) think that we’ll not only listen to a pre-recorded message, but we’ll happily call this company if we want to do business with them? This is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. The whole point of the do not call list was to ELIMINATE unwanted calls!! The proposed amendment to this law is unacceptable and should not be considered. Furthermore my family and I will make it a point to NEVER conduct business with companies that pursue this type of marketing.
