I am adamantly opposed to the proposed change to the Do Not Call Registry. I PAID to be on the Do Not Call list and feel that my privacy should not once again be stepped on. The reason for joining the Do Not Call Registry is because I was receiving 12-20 phone calls a day being left on my answering machine, plus, the dinner hour, night calls until 11:00 at night, and weekend calls starting at 7:30 a.m. I'm aggravated that I STILL receive about 5 hang-ups on my answering machine a day. During the election time I was having political recordings left from local, state, and national candidates that totaled up to 10-12 a day until the election. I feel something should be done about that also. The reason I am so upset is because there are two phone lines in my residence with two machines. They BOTH are continually filled with all of the above. If I want to donate, vote for, or purchase something, I will not if you call me by phone.
