Comments:
The proposed amendment of the Telemarketing Sales Rule to create an additional call abandonment safe harbor to allow telemarketing calls that deliver a prerecorded message to consumers with whom the seller on whose behalf the calls are made has an established business relationship is a bad idea and opens the door on abuse of this loophole. I would strongly oppose any such change. It is against the best interest of the general population and only serves to provide a opportunity for companies to abuse a current bussiness relationship they have with a consumer. If I want any additional products, I will contact the companies I currently do business with. I expet that my privacy will be respected if I do not wish to initiate the contact.
