Having recently become aware that the FTC is considering "opening a loophole" in the Do Not Call Registry which would permit companies to deliver 'pre-recorded message telemarketing,' I am writing to request that the FTC not follow through with this plan despite Mr. Allen Hile's assertion that this change "is only intended to bring FTC rules in line with those of the FCC." My wife and I appreciate not being barraged with unwanted telemarketing spam and have found that since we registered on the FTC's "Do Not Call Registry," telemarketing calls to us have been significantly reduced. It seems to us that permitting Voice Mail Broadcasting to send telemarketing messages would open the flood gates to other telemarketing companies to demand the same opportunity, which we oppose. Thank you for your attention to our concern. Chuck and Joan Rockwell
