This has to be one of the worst ideas I've seen in a LONG time. Surely, the FTC doesn't want to ignore the huge, and almost immediate, response to the DO NOT CALL list. This was because most Americans do not want unsolicited calls and hearing a recorded message is just as irritating. Please leave the DO NOT CALL legislation alone...it works! DO NOT CALL has been one of the most effective strategies I can imagine. Please, please, DO NOT begin to weaken the effect of a previous smart decision made in response to pleas from a huge constituency.
