To Whom it May Concern: I don't approve of this measure at all. What was the point of the Do Not Call Registry? I am paying my local phone company 4 dollars a month for a service called Do Not Disturb. What a shame that I have to pay people to NOT call me. This service has been invaluable to me. I can turn it on and off at will and even the phone company doesn't have my access code. It's computer driven and they can't get the code, because it's one I choose, not one they pick for me. I love the service and won't give it up if it means to have peace and quiet on my home phone. I was getting calls, from about 7:30 in the morning to 9:30 or 10 in the evening and even on weekends. That is a definite invasion of my privacy. Oh, I tried many things, blowing a whistle into the phone, just putting the phone down and let the seller ramble, asking to be taken off of call lists, just to name a few. None of these methods worked for me, but the Do Not Disturb service is wonderful. Please stop allowing people to circumvent the laws and let the legislation do what it is supposed to do and leave those of us ALONE who want to be. I, for one, do NOT appreciate being disturbed all hours of the day and night and weekends.
