As a long time shift worker I cannot express how nice it has been to be rid of the 2 or 3 calls a day I got try to sell things I had no interest in. Turning off the ringer is not really an option as there are REAL people who may need to reach me for REAL reasons. At the very least require a real person to make the call, on a rotary dial phone pay phone, working from hand written call lists. The idea of opening the flood gates to effectively 0 cost telemarketing is horrible. "safe harbor" = "Abomination"
