To enlarge the scope of permissible calls under the Do Not Call program would be the foot in the door of erosion of this very successful program. The 'opt out' option is the wrong way to address any proposed contact for businesses, only 'opt in' makes sense to those of us finally free from the bombardment of calls during the few hours we have for family time. Why should my telephone, a utility that I pay for, be made available for calls that I have clearly indicated I don't want? These companies could easily reach me by many other means, and I think my telephone should not be one of those means.
