I am opposed to any and all telemarketing calls delivered by pre-recorded message. I don't want to hear from a company that I made a purchase with a year ago. If I want to talk to a company, I will place the call. The whole point of the Do Not Call Regristry is to eliminate the unwanted intrusion of telemarketers. If telemarketers wish to call consumers, let them compensate the consumers for the use of their phone service. As it is, the telemarketers use of private phone lines should constitute theft of service. I am also opposed to changing the 3% call abandonment rule from daily to monthly. This would only allow the telemarketers more leeway to abuse consumers.
