I pay a monthly fee to SBC for my telephone service. Unfortunately, about 75% of the time that my phone rings, it's some sort of telemarketer. Effectively, I am paying to give these companies the ability to try to sell me something that I neither need nor want. The last thing I need is to have an automated recording calling me now. Vote this amendment down, we have enough marketing nuisance from these people. This amendment will make it cheaper for these companies to harrass us and therefore increase the frequency of this marketing harrassment. Let's end this now!
