Sir: I believe that the rules for the Do Not Call Registry, as presently established, work pretty well. I am no longer bothered at the dinner hour by people I don't know, trying to sell me something I don't want. In fact, I want to see the rules tightened! If I want to donate to a charity, or contribute to a politician, I will call them up and ask "where and how much", and if I wish to be surveyed by Gallup, I will specifically "opt-in". So, I call upon you to eliminate the exemptions for politicians, non-profits, and pollsters. As a matter of equity, it is my phone service, paid for by me, for my convenience. If I have an answering machine, it was paid for out of my after-tax dollars. I resent being forced to endure sales pitches, especially the pre-recorded kind, which don't care how rude I get! Sincerely, Charles W. Gerlach
