Do not call means just that - do not call. And this includes prerecorded messages, from -anyone-. If I have a preexisting relationship, they can spend the time and effort to put a live human on the phone. So far the DNC seems to be working fairly well (and without driving all the telemarketing companies out of business, although I guess we can't have everything). Lets keep it working by not weakening it unnecessarily. (Feel a pressing need to change it? Stop exempting ANY originating organization with whom the person does not have a prior business relationship. Start making public officials follow the same rules they apply to everyone else..)
