Consumers should not be required to pay to support any advertising. By that I mean, I pay for my phone service and it should not be considered a resource by ANY organization for ANY purpose-period. Allowing this kind of abuse (no other word fits) of a privately-paid for service is wrong and the commissioners KNOW it. In any other channel (tv, books, magazines) advertising is fine - as long as it pays its own way. The moment the consumer has to PAY to RECEIVE advertising (by use of a privately-paid service, access to their home, etc) abuse is occurring. Should this regulation pass, I will begin a campaign of contacting any and all organizations that use computer-generated messages - with the specific purpose of consuming their time and resources in a like manner. Gentlemen, the lobbyists are WRONG and I will personally fight this with every weapon I have available. Marketing organizations know no limits - but the instant they start using MY MONEY to deliver THEIR message it becomes an attack and I will treat it as such. NO MORE FREELOADERS ON MY PHONE / EMAIL / FRONT DOOR. PERIOD.
