I just read in the paper about this proposal. NO! NO! NO! I shouldn't have to spend my life opting out of things I didn't ask for and don't want. The junk mail we get is bad enough but at least it doesn't require me to get up from my dinner to look at who's calling before not answering. Mail at least I can just throw away without opening. And speaking of opting-out - have you ever tried to find the 800 number to call to do it? And then you have to return something they send you as verifiation. Of course the consumer has to spring for the stamp. I understand why Voice Mail Broadcasting Corp doesn't want opt-in - nobody would. Kill this idea. You are supposed to be serving ALL the people of the United States, not just those who contribute big bucks to politicians.
