I believe that allowing ANY calls to people registered on the "do not call" list is not in the consumers best interest. I do not pay to maintain my telephone so that salespeople have an easy method to contact me and annoy me. It is bad enough to have people from political campaigns calling (I recieved twelve (12) calls on Election Day!) but people have asked for the DO NOT CALL registry because they are tired of being intruded upon whether or not the message is prerecorded. I ask any callers to please remove my number from thier lists when I recieve calls. Most companies do not respect my wishes in this way and continue to annoy me with "special offers". If you would like to amend the rules governing the "do not call" list, then amend it so that nobody may call numbers that are listed on it without some sort of release to do so, do not assume that people with an "ongoing buisness relationship" want to be sold anything else if they have registered to not recieve calls. Thank you for your consideration.
