I receive enough unwanted attention from those now allowed to avoid the Do Not Call list. Any weakening of the protection provided by allowing voice mail (answering machine spam) would be defeating the reason for my participation in the program. I don't want to receive telephonic solicitations from anybody, whether I have previously done business with them or not. Any telephone solicitation should be allowed only on an opt-in basis. As an avid reader of science fiction it has become clear that the world of 1984 and other postulated futures where the consumer is bombarded on all sides by advertising is here. Let us not make it any worse than it already is. Allowing this method of solicitation would be even more intrusive and individually costly if voice and/ot text mail spam is allowed to be sent to cellular phone users. Allow us some freedom from the constant intrusion in our lives of people wanting to sell something. Thank you for your attention. Bob Amos
