I believe that allowing pre-recorded marketing messages goes against the spirit and purpose of the Do-Not-Call List. One of the main reasons that my family and I signed up for the list in the first place was because of the frequency and volume of such pre-recorded messages left on our voicemail. I believe that such advertising is intrusive and unwanted, and marketers should find other ways to target audiences that are actually interested in their products and services, without being instrusive. These pre-recorded phone messages, however, are just an offline version of spam.
