Please do not allow this abandonment safe harbor to allow telemarketing companies to further abuse the Telemarketing Sales Rule. The do-not-call list has been something that has positively affected the American public. To dilute its effectiveness will betray the spirit of the regulation that has benefited the daily lives of Americans. Please do not reinforce the low expectations of the taxpaying citizens.
