I would be very unhappy to see this loop hole become a reality. I fail to understand how a government agency can even think about ammending a law that was designed to protect it's citizens from the constant harrassment from telemarketers. It's an real abuse of technology when the use of my telephone, which I pay for, can be used by solicitors to sell their product or services. Why would you pass a law and then turn around and negate it with a step like this? No wonder people don't trust what our government says. I remember how some of my friends said, "finally the fed is going to do something to help us, when the no call list was started. To make matters even worse we have to pay your salaries, even when you are working for "them" ( the large companies) and not doing what is in the best interest of the consumers. I know no one who is in favor of weaking the no call law.
