The Do Not Call list is a godsend. You definitely got that one right! My hope is that you will work towards strengthening it, not providing more leniency to telemarketers. Prerecorded sales pitches are the worst form of telemarketing, and are a major reason why the general public is fed up with telemarketers. They hijack the phone line and take up space on answering machines. My phone is a resource for which I pay good money, and is not there to received unwelcome calls from machines. Further, getting in touch with these companies to complain is a nightmare. Please consider legislation to *reduce* or eliminate pre-recorded messages, not increase them.
