As a person listed on the current Do Not Call list, I am opposed to any changes that would allow telemarketing calls to be made to my home. I do not want to receive prerecorded calls, or any other telemarketing calls. If I want someone to call me, I will give them express permission to do so. In regards to the technology that ensures abandonment of no more than three (3) percent of all calls answered by a person, I do not agree that it makes any difference whatsoever how many other people find their telemarketing calls interesting enough not to abandon them. Other people can talk to telemarketers all they want. I signed the Do Not Call list specifically so that I would NOT have to talk to them, or screen their calls, or even hear them ring my phone. Please, please, please do not dilute the value of the Do Not Call list.
