The present statuetes are being frequently abused! Do not open the gates further. Those companies with which I choose to do business often ask for my email address. That gives me the ability to choose what I want to recieve. Companies that use pre-recorded telemarketing are usually NOT companies with whom I do business. Policing the adherence to the proposed new statues will add more overhead to the FTC or it's suncontractors, therefore, also more cost to the comsumer in the form of tax dollars. The present law should be better policed!
