The do-not-call list was a great idea that has improved the lives of consumers across the nation. I am strongly opposed to weakening it to allow companies to place precorded junk phone calls to me or to any other consumer, even with the requirement of an established business relationship. Such rules are open to abuse. Hundreds or even thousands of companies could claim that I have such a relationship with them, I don't want any of them to call my home. Just clicking through a banner ad on the web could be enough for a company to claim such a relationship. The do-not-call list has been a stunning success, please don't mess with it! Sincerely, Walter Gillett
