No, I do not endorse loosening, (or creating additional call abandonment safe harbors) for telemarketers for any reason. Although I am on the do not call list, I continue to receive calls from various law enforcement agencies asking me to donate to one cause or another. , in additon, during the recent run -up to the elections, I received a minimum of one call per day on behalf of various political candidates. While these two instances do not fall into the telemarketer category technically, they ought to! I currently pay an excessive amount of taxes for phone service and do not believe I should be subject to unwanted solicitation calls.
