The legislation passed to reduce the number of telemarketing phone calls at home drew overwhelming support from consumers. I believe this has been one of the best pieces of legislation passed to support consumer's rights to privacy. I strongly oppose any changes to this legislation which allows prerecorded messages sent to my answering machine or my cell phone. I pay for minutes on my cell phone and will be penalized financially to receive these nuisance calls. As a consumer, I will find products I choose to purchase thru the multiple marketing tools afforded buyers. This proposed change to legislation violates my rights to choose financially (cellphone minutes) and my right to not be barraged with telephone calls I choose not to receive. Let the consumers make the choice on this matter, we have spoken our message thru the masses who are on the "Do Not Call Registry".
