Comments:
I oppose changing the rules to allow telemarketers to send prerecorded messages to those with whom they have a business relationship. I find prerecorded messages extremely annoying and to not want to have to spend time clearing them off my answering machine or voice mail. I do not want to walk into a store to buy an item, or place an order to a company through the mail, and then start receiving unsolicited phone calls from them on the basis of a prior business relationship. Such a change as is proposed will benefit only telemarketers, who already create enough annoyance as it is.
