I am against the proposed change to the national Do Not Call Registry. I consider it an invasion of privacy for companies to be allowed to call my telephone number and leave recorded messages. First of all, a recorded message ties up the telephone line and does not enable the person to make or receive calls while this recorded message is being played. Also, I am against this change, because If a person is out of town and calls in to access his or her messages, they would have to listen to such messages or take the time to delete them, and pay long distance fees as well.
