Please do not open a loophole in the year-old Do Not Call Registry program to allow companies to deliver pre-recorded messages of telemarketing to phones in American homes including messages to those telephone numbers on the Do Not Call Registry. Even though the measure sought by the Voice Mail Broadcasting Corp would require identifiation and might include opt out possibilities, it would still result in 1.5 million messages a day from them, and other corporations might quickly follow suit Such messages should be sent only to telephone numbers of persons who OPT IN indicating that they really want to receive them. Surely the fact that 64 million people enrolled in the Do Not Call list should make it abundantly clear to you that Americans do not want to be bombarded by answering machine spam and other telemarketers!.
