As a consumer, I feel betrayed. The mere act of considering this amendment violates the entire spirit of the original DNC registry. Not only do pre-recorded calls take up my valuable time, but time and again I have found that direct marketers will stretch the definition of 'pre-existing relationship' to breaking point. The most odious part of this amendment is that it puts the burden on me, the consumer, to prove that I do not have a relationship with the marketer, plus forcing me to again 'opt-out' of yet another avenue of unwanted intrusion. Please, please do not let this amendment pass. It would thoroughly destroy the entire reason for the existence of the registry in the first place. -Curt
