Please don't let the pre-recorded messages be used for phone solicitation. We're supposed to live in a free country, why am I held hostage by my telephone? Why is it so difficult to understand that people don't want to be bothered in their homes with a ringing telephone? What is so complicated about that? We've made our position clear by sigining up for the do not call list, so let's leave it at that. It's not inhibiting free speech or commerce or any nonsense like that, it's an invasion of my privacy and a nuisance. If this is a democracy why don't we all vote on whether or not to allow any form of telemarketing and then you would see overwhelming numbers against it.
