Dear Sir/Ms., I read in the newpaper that FTC is thinking of changing the Do Not Call law so that the public will have to endure telemarketing from businesses that an individual does business with. I cannot think of any reason short of bribery why the FTC would want the public to receive more telemarketing calls. If the FTC thinks that the public wants any change that would cause even one more telemarketing call than it must be made up of the most bone-headed officials in the history of mankind. The Do Not Call law was wonderful. Why would anyone think that the public wants to change it to cause more telemarketing? Please do not change the law, except perhaps to raise the fines and cause telemarketing to go away all together. James Hughes
