|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:I am NOT in favor of this amendment. I supscribe to the DNC list because I do not want to receive telemarketing calls. Period. Prerecorded calls are especially annoying because you do not have the opportunity to interrupt the telemarketer and request removal from their call list. Prerecorded calls I have received in the past generally do not contain a mechanism to contact the telemarketer to add your name/number to their DNC list, or the information is placed at the end of the message, forcing you to listen to it in its entirety. I feel adding in this amendment is not in the spirit of the original purpose of the DNC list.
