The do not call list is, in my opinion, designed to protect the victims of telemarketing harassment. Allowing this loophole would negate any power the do not call list currently possesses. This proposal would allow any telemarketer partnered with a company I do business with, to harass me with unsolicited automated phone calls. That is simply ridiculous. There is no difference between having a live person and a recording harass me with unwanted phone calls, except perhaps that yet another person ends up unemployed. In this time when voters' confidence in their elected officials is at an all time low, show the people their representatives still care in the slightest by saying no to this proposed violation of our homes.
