I think this is a bad idea. While I strongly support the DNC Registry, I think it was a mistake to allow businesses WITH an existing relationship to call in the first place without prior consent from the consumer. (a prior business relationship in my mind does not explicitly grant consent). We are paying for our telephone lines, why should we be subject to advertising and sales pitches on them? Even if we have a pre-existing relationship with the business, this proposed loophole will be abused by businesses. They should absolutley NOT be allowed to call with prerecorded messages. Thank you for your work on the original DNC Registry, a wonderful piece of work for the American taxpayer. Andrew E. Troup Centreville VA
