I am not in favor of this change for one main reason. The fact is, we have kept our phone number out of the hands of telemarketers for a very long time. We have managed to do this by ommitting our phone number from any type of application or survey. Obviously, we do not like telemarketers, and have successfuly thwarted them by not listing our phone number and keeping it away from large lists and such. By enabling this law, telemarketers would be able to use the "do not call" list as a huge database for calling anyone they please. This is obviously very disconcerting, and very upsetting. Please do not enable this new rule, or add certain rules so that the "do not call" list is not used as a large database of new numbers for telemarketers.
