This amendment strikes me as being a poor idea. Automated telemarketing is highly agressive, and will result in a great increase in unsolicited phone calls; the exact thing which the Do Not Call list was intended to prevent. Automated phone solicitations make it much less convenient to remove an individual's phone number from a company's calling list. It puts the burden on the individual to reply to the company making the calls if they wish to be removed from the list. This at the expense of both time and money on the part of the individual; not the company making the phone calls. Please seriously reconsider the ramifications that this step would impose. Please consider the backwards step in which this would result.
