I and many other citizens trusted the FTC when it assured us that our phone numbers would be kept free of unwanted telemarketing calls. Aside from the extreme irritation at having to ignore our phones ringing all day, this proposed change will seal the fate of any future proposed FTC "trust-us" efforts. If this rule change is made, I can assure you that at least one household will lose all faith in the FTC. Don't do this.
