I strongly oppose the rule change. The spirit of the Do Not Call registry is to PREVENT CALLS, which are essentially voice spam. This rule change would increase calls, in a manner that is more annoying than the already permitted non-recorded calls. Further, I would also like to comment that the *previous business relationship* clause appears to be grossly overused. I want to allow businesses to call me if I am a CURRENT ACTIVE CUSTOMER, not a long ago contact. If I have not spent more than $5 in the last 12 months, I AM NOT an active customer. Last, the business relationship ought to be DIRECT to the organization that I am being solicited by, not an obliquely related business owned by the same holding company.
