I hereby state that I am opposed to any consideration in allowing telemarketers access to the FTC's "Do Not Call" list. The DNC list as it currently exists is a helpful weapon against unwanted solicitations over an expensive communications medium, and should not be weakened in any way. I urge the FTC to improve the effectiveness of the DNC list with stronger enforcement, particularly over the cellular telephone systems. The FTC should also intensify their efforts in reducing unwanted e-mails clogging the Internet. Solicitations are acceptable over some channels, but should be banned on costly communications media. Let's keep the our communications systems clear of the noise that eventually renders them useless...remembering what that medium was originally intended for!
