Telemarketers are ALREADY using pre-recorded messages and ignoring the Do Not Call lists. I have received several of these type of calls lately. If you hang up, they will call again. If you listen to the entire message (very annoying!) they tell you to press 8 to be taken off the list, or press 9 to talk to a person who wants to sell you something. I have been pressing 8 but a few days ago I pressed 9 so I could make a complaint against this person who was BREAKING THE LAW! They wanted to sell me wireless phone service and they were called Independent Promotions but they would not give me their phone number. I told them I am on the Do Not Call list and that they had no right to call me! That is the way the list is supposed to work and I am against any changes which would allow these people to call and annoy people. I have never purchased anything from a telemarketer and will not in the future, so they are wasting my time and theirs calling me. I filed a complaint with the FTC about this telemarketer call and plan to do so every time I get one of these pre-recorded messages. I do not want any calls from telemarketers. That is why the list was invented and I have been on it since it first started. Please do not allow telemarketers to send recorded messages, they will all start doing that if they are allowed.
