Are you totally insane? Why don't you open up a loophole that lets direct marketers go through my garbage, read my mail and tattoo my child's forehead with their message so I won't miss seeing it? Why don't you sell the names of all the people who petition you against this asinine idea to telemarketers? I'm sick of having to protect myself against people I don't want to hear from. I'm sick of having the government abet invasions of my privacy. I'm sick of having one more company buy another government agency that's supposed to protect me from them. A prerecorded message does one thing: It saves telemarketers the expense of having actual people call me. Congratulations. You've figured out how to make predators more efficient. Stupid bastards.
