Comments:
I am deeply disturbed that the FTC is considering weakening the Do Not Call list by allowing direct marketers to deliver prerecorded voice messages and by relaxing the condition for call abandonment safe harbor. Neither of these measures can benefit the people who purposefully registered with the Do Not Call registry to ensure they do not receive unsolicited telephone calls. Personally, I have found the Do Not Call registry effective in reducing the number of unwanted calls, and I loathe to have the unsolicited calls return. I strongly urge the FTC to reject the amendment and maintain the integrity of the Do Not Call list. Sincerely, Paul Griepentrog
