Please do not allow this proposed rule to be enacted. Personally, I do not enjoy telephone calls from telemarketers and have NEVER purchased a product through such a call. I joined the Do Not Call List to eliminate those annoying and depredatious intrusions into my daily life that I otherwise had no control over. My home life has been alot more peacful since that time and I do not wish to return to those "bad old days". This proposed rule seems designed to allow telemarketers another wedge to enter the american home uninvited. In some communities door-to-door selling and canvassing activities are prohibited, if not completely, at least during certain times of the day. And as always, the homeowner may post signs such as "No Tresspassing" or other types, to announce the desire for seclusion and to prevent an unwanted intrusion. The Do Not Call list has worked quite well as my "No Tresspassing" sign for telemarketers and I would prefer NOT to be inundated with these telephone calls again. If any changes to this rule are enacted, PLEASE ensure they protect americans even more than at present. Thankyou
