I am writing to share my thoughts against the supposed FTC plan to allow merchants to call registered users of the "do not call" list if they use pre-recorded messages and if they have an established relationships with them. I urge you not to make this change. Prerecorded or live, it doesn't matter one or another, it is still a bother. If one doesn't wish to be on the list any longer they can get off it. What is the point of a list that doesn't do what it is supposed to do? I do not believe "established relationships" is cause for merchants to call me with or without prerecorded messages either. There are plenty of merchants out there that I have unfortunately established relationships with in the past who I wish would never call me again, AOL, credit card companies from ten years ago, mortgage loan companies from three mortgages ago, are all examples. I do not wish to be called by these people regardless of if they have an established relationship with me nor if the call is prerecorded or not. Sincerely, Paul Bradley
